"Let me start by saying that hiring Maggie & Eleven Roses Events is the best wedding decision we made (second to the whole actually marrying each other thing). Maggie far exceeded every single expectation I had and went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely amazing and stress free. Not only is Maggie organized, thorough, thoughtful and punctual but she has such a passion and love for what she does that makes her so much fun to work with. Now for the details. I’m sure all weddings have their fair share of logistical headaches, but a backyard wedding (in Texas, in December) with overzealous clients insistent on DIYing basically everything (hi, that’s us) during a global pandemic? Oh, and did I mention our dogs were our ring bearers? That’s a whole other story. We originally met and hired Maggie when we first booked a venue a few years ago but, in true pandemic fashion, had to delay and rethink our plans. We ultimately decided to have our wedding at our own home, which felt like the perfect choice for us but required far more planning and meant we had to think through everything that previously came with the venue. I called Maggie and told her the change of plans (nervously, as I was pretty sure she’d tell me I had no clue what I was getting myself into), to which she replied, ‘no problem – it’ll be great!’ without hesitation. Maggie came over for a venue (aka house) tour and listened to our long and unorganized list of dreams, potential DIYs and ‘we saw this online and thought it’d be cool’ projects. She helped us turn our home into the venue of our dreams and meticulously planned the placement of the dancefloor, bars, lounge areas, chairs, tables, etc to maximize the functionality and flow of our wedding. She worked with all our vendors to ensure they were up to speed with the change in plans and helped me think through every single item we would need to pull off an amazing outdoor winter wedding (it’s a long list guys). She took care of EVERYTHING day of which in addition to the obvious things included setting up, getting everyone to their places, passing out fireball shots when the bride (yours truly) was running late and recording the ceremony for our family that couldn’t make it. So many of our guests later mentioned to me how great Maggie is and how they could tell she loves what she does. "How can I possibly sum up Maggie? She was so fantastic to work with, I’m not really sure where to begin. We booked Maggie for our wedding about a year and a half out. We first met her while touring a venue we were considering (she was the site manager), and once we ended up booking a different venue, she ended up being their preferred coordinator! We met with her once and booked her pretty quickly after that, but we knew from the first time we met her that she was really talented in this industry. She was so helpful at that first venue with our questions, it was obvious she knew a how to execute a wedding (which thank goodness, because I don’t!) During the year and a half before our wedding, Maggie was always available to answer my questions. She was always an email or text away and never shied from offering her advice.
